Wrea House

A sculptural modern house extension adjoined to a family farmhouse on the Fylde Coast.

MOJO has created a striking modern addition to a traditional farm house building overlooking an apple orchard. The contrast between the ultra modern and the historical building stands out against the trees.

Having worked with the client previously, they wanted MOJO to help them renovate an old farm house they had recently purchased.

The client needed MOJO to help them remodel the entire house but specifically, add a rear extension onto the main building to give them an open family space.

Knowing the clients taste for the dramatic, MOJO proposed a highly sculptural design which would sit in direct contrast to the history of the property; floating next to the existing property.

The large white rendered family living area contains the new kitchen, dining room and lounge space, and flows seamlessly into the garden.

The existing bungalow was constructed of poor quality brickwork so we went for a bright rendered finish to tie together the extensive refurbishment with the new extension.

Wrea House has become iconic in the area for its bold, confident appearance and its position as a quality example of modernism in the north of the country.

We would highly recommend their services. 10/10
