Eccles RFC Secures Planning Approval with MOJO Architecture for its ambitious Clubhouse and Gym Expansion

MOJO is excited to announce Planning has been approved for Eccles Rugby Football Club for an exciting transformation, as Salford council recently gave the green light for an extensive expansion of its clubhouse and training facilities.

The design by MOJO Architecture includes plans for a contemporary multi-use room, upgraded hospitality and dining facilities, a state-of-the-art purpose-built gym, and a complete overhaul of the existing clubhouse.

With an expanding membership base exceeding 500 and 20 teams, Eccles RFC's commitment to promoting women's rugby and fostering a family-friendly atmosphere has necessitated the expansion.

The club has been an integral part of the community for over 126 years, and this development is poised to elevate its facilities to new heights.

The project follows last year's first phase of work on the clubhouse by MOJO Architecture with the designs promising not only a striking physical extension but also a contemporary interior refurbishment and tailored training facilities.

Prior to his visit to the club this week, Salford Mayor Paul Dennett reported on X:
"These look like exciting proposals from Eccles RFC in our City. Pleased to read the first floor extension above the changing rooms has already received planning approval from Salford Council"

As the Eccles RFC embarks on this exciting chapter, its enduring dedication to the local community and the sport itself is poised to reach new heights.
